Family Housing Association

Good companies are hard to find, but our working with Smart Ideas was almost a question of fate. If you want the honest truth, I invited them to bid for our first project on the basis that they had worked with another housing association and even more honestly to make up the numbers after a mailshot landed on my desk.

They won the business, purely on their wealth of ideas, presentation and the obvious time and effort spent in the initial stages. And I think it's these qualities that has also led me to trust them. They've encouraged me to spend more money than I envisaged on some aspects of the project, but the results have been excellent. Je ne regrette rien.

Through them we've started to amass a collection of publications that far outshine anything we've done in the past (and in some respects outshine some of the bigger players in our sector). They've also been exceedingly helpful to a small organisation with limited resources, putting us in touch with people we could work with in other areas of our business. Our next projects include a direct mail campaign and getting them to liven up our signage. And although I mentioned the issue of money earlier on, they are competitive and flexible, but they can achieve this without compromising the impact of the finished article.

Admittedly, working with them has been a bit of a culture change for us, but we've been open to the vast majority of their suggestions and ideas, always to our benefit. Marks out of 10? 8. Wouldn't want them to get big headed.
